Seedling Music Pro

1. Overview

Seedling Music Pro is a local-first music player. It does not require an account and Teknoble does not operate an advertising, analytics or user-profile backend for the app.

Your music library, playlists, favourites and listening activity are processed primarily on your Android device. Optional online features are described separately below.

2. Information accessed or stored locally

The app may access and store the following information on your device so its features can work:

• Audio files available through Android MediaStore and their metadata, such as title, artist, album, duration, folder and embedded artwork.
• Playlists, favourites, queues, hidden songs, excluded folders, listening history, play counts and remembered playback position.
• App settings, selected themes, launcher-icon preference, seekbar and playback-control styles, Tone Studio settings and shutdown-timer state.
• Custom artwork, imported or edited lyrics, online artwork/lyrics cache files, and track loudness or peak-analysis results used by Sound Booster.

Teknoble does not receive this local library information through its own server. Android may include some app data in device backup according to the operating system and the app's backup exclusions.

3. Android permissions and their purpose

• Music and audio access: to discover and play audio files that you allow the app to access. On older Android versions, the equivalent storage permission may be used.
• Notifications: to show media controls and playback information, when you grant notification permission.
• Modify audio settings: to provide equalizer, bass and Sound Booster controls supported by the device.
• Foreground service and wake lock: to keep playback reliable when the screen is off or another app is in front.
• Internet and network state: only for optional online artwork, online lyrics, connectivity checks and Google Play Billing.

The app does not request microphone, precise location, contacts, camera or call-log access.

4. Optional online services

MusicBrainz and Cover Art Archive

When online artwork is enabled, the app may send song title, artist and album information to MusicBrainz and Cover Art Archive to find possible cover images. Selected artwork may be downloaded and cached locally. You can keep this feature off, limit it to Wi-Fi, retry searches or clear its cache.

LRCLIB

When online lyric search is used, the app may send song title, artist, album and duration to LRCLIB to find matching synchronized or plain lyrics. Retrieved lyrics may be cached locally and can be edited, replaced or removed in the app.

Google Play Billing

Optional support purchases are processed by Google Play. Google handles payment details. The app receives purchase status and transaction-related tokens or signatures required to verify and consume the purchase; Seedling Music Pro does not create a Teknoble account or payment profile.

These external services may receive ordinary network information, such as an IP address and request metadata, under their own privacy policies.

5. Data sharing and selling

Teknoble does not sell your personal data. The app does not share your music library or listening history with advertisers or analytics providers. Information is sent to a third-party service only when needed for an optional feature you use, such as artwork lookup, lyric search or a Google Play purchase.

6. Retention and deletion

Local information remains on your device until it is replaced or removed by you, cleared through app settings or Android settings, or deleted when you uninstall the app. The app provides controls for clearing online artwork and lyric caches. Retention by MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive, LRCLIB or Google is governed by those services' own policies.

7. Security

The app uses Android's application sandbox and encrypted HTTPS connections for supported online requests, and cleartext network traffic is disabled. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, but we aim to limit access and transmission to what the selected feature requires.

8. Children

Seedling Music Pro is a general-audience music utility and is not directed to children under 13. Teknoble does not knowingly build user profiles or collect children's personal information through an app account or analytics system.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app features, third-party services or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when a material update is published.
